The Altima comes equipped with an impressive 2.5L Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) DOHC 16-valve 4-clylinder engine with the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) for better fuel usage that's paired with a Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) for ease of shifting. The Altima has some helpful driver-assistance technologies that come standard on the vehicle. Cruise control is one such feature, which sets a pre-determined distance from the vehicle directly in front of you and ensures you maintain that distance. There's also the Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection feature, which can sense when a collision is imminent, and when appropriate actions aren't taken, the brakes can be applied.
There's room to celebrate the interior of the Altima as it has great seating options. Drivers will be in the lap of luxury by piloting a 6-way adjustable driver's seat, giving them direct control over their preferred settings and comfort levels. There is also the available cloth seat trim, which provides comfort for not only the driver but also for all passengers riding along in the Altima.
To accommodate both cargo and additional passengers, the Altima also comes with 60/40-split fold seatback. This lets you push down two of the three available seats, so you can fit in more cargo or the plain necessities, while leaving a seat for a passenger to ride on.
