About Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard
Founded in 1975, Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard has over 150 acres of land that has been producing award-winning wines for over four decades. Using locally grown grapes that are picked by hand and barrel aged, they offer a selection of drinks that truly reflect the beauty and wonder of Rhode Island.
While the sea air and humid climate provide their wines with truly unique flavors, none of it would be possible without the help of winemaker Elaine Phipps. Starting with Sakonnet as a field worker back in 1984, she quickly rose up the ranks, taking over the principle winemaker in 2005.
Bottle of Red, Bottle of White
Choose from a delicious selection of whites, rosés, reds, and dessert wines, each with their own distinct flavor.
If you’re looking for something light and fruity, we recommend their 2012 Sacred Rosé. Created with 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, this medium-bodied rosé is infused with hints of strawberry, cranberry, and bell pepper, making it the perfect accompaniment to meals like salads and fish.
Alternatively, if you’re in the mood for something a bit bolder, try their 2014 Aiman. Barrel-aged with hints of raspberry, cherry, and dark chocolate, it’s a sleek wine with a smooth finish.
That’s not all. Check out their additional list of delicious beverages, including:
- White Lotus
- NV Blessed Blend White
- 2012 Winter Wine
