Spooktacular Fun for Your Little Goblins
Instead of sticking to your usual Halloween tradition of attending a few costume parades with your little ones, why not mix it up a bit with something that’ll combine the best of both worlds: costumes, candy and cute critters?
Well, at this year’s Boo at the Zoo parties, you and your children are welcome to tour the slightly spooky attractions at Buttonwood Park Zoo. Donning your favorite Halloween costumes, your family can enjoy free rides on the Spooky Express, where you’ll take a train through the Witches’ Den, and the Wildlife Carousel.
Walk your way through the decked-out grounds of this local destination meandering along the Trick or Treat Trail with a stop at the Shipwreck Cove maze.
As if that weren’t enough to send a chill up your spine, Charlie’s Nature Play provides your youngsters with a space to explore all that nature has to offer at night. Plus, this attraction is new for this year, so make sure to stop by so that your kids can expend some of the energy from their Halloween candy feast.
Baby BOO at the Zoo
Got an extra-tiny tot who wants to join in on all the Halloween fun at Buttonwood Park Zoo? If so, this locale is holding their annual Baby BOO at the Zoo, taking place on Wednesday, October 31, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Here, your toddlers can dance to the tunes of DJ Danny Levin, all while showing off their best costumes in the Halloween parade. Plus, prizes are awarded to those who pull out all the stops for their All Hallows’ Eve outfit.
The categories for this costume contest include Cutest Costume, Best Animal Costume, Best Parent-Child Costume, and Most Creative Costume. So, pull out that sewing kit and start creating that awe-inspiring, handmade costume for you and your kids!
Sponsorship & Animal Encounters
Of course, all your fun at this spookified locale comes with plenty of opportunities to be part of the fun while supporting the Zoo’s mission. The proceeds of tickets support the Zoo’s educational and family programs.
Thanks to those proceeds, you can expect this family-friendly hotspot to continue to churn out exciting events and activities for your kids.
On top of all the fun activities, you’re sure to spot some Zoo residents making an appearance.
